BA World Cargo Centre

The company, in consortium, undertook a £23 million contract to install the mechanical and electrical services at the new World Cargocentre for British Airways at London Heathrow Airport. The Cargocentre is capable of handling more than 8,000,000 tonnes of cargo a year. The building is 300 metres long and 35 metres high and has a roof area the size of six football pitches; it is built on four levels and incorporates 38 lorry loading bays and more than 8,000 roller decks and vertical conveyors.

The World Cargocentre is arguably one of the most forward-looking developments in the global market of the air cargo industry.
