Environment

It is Company policy to minimise the impact on the environment of its activities in the design and installation of building services in a responsible and accountable way by means of a programme of continuous improvement, balancing the needs of the environment with operational obligations and available resources.

We aim to meet and where appropriate exceed the requirements of all relevant regulations and legislation. We minimise waste in all of our operations as far as is economically practical and promote recycling and the use of recycled materials whilst reducing the consumption of materials. We ensure appropriate disposal of waste products.

We manage energy wisely and reduce wherever reasonably practical the level of harmful emissions in order to contribute to a healthy and sustainable environment.

We regularly review the environmental impact of our transport policy.

We encourage similar environmental standards to our own from suppliers and subcontractors.

We provide information to enable systems which we install to be operated and maintained at design levels of performance and enable occupiers to understand the environmental aspects of the services installed in their buildings.

We enhance environmental awareness and commitment from our employees through training and communication.

We reassess on a regular basis the environmental impact of our operations with a view to achieving both continuous improvement of our environmental performance and compliance with the principles of BS EN ISO 14001 ''Environmental Management Systems".

Organisation and Responsibility

The management and control of our environmental impact is an integral responsibility of the Health and Safety Management Team consisting of the Company H&S Manager, Michelle Jones and an Operations H&S Manager, Arthur Lander who are undertaking a training programme to become associate members of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).

Day to day operational matters are addressed by line management with support from the SHE Management team.
